Canadian, born 1977

Sondra Meszaros is a graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Design and received her MFA from the University of Windsor in 2002. She currently teaches at the Alberta College of Art and Design, one of the largest art schools in Canada. Through large scale charcoal drawings on vellum Meszaros pursues an interest in creating a personal narrative using animals as surrogates in the exploration of power dynamics. Her subject matter centres on themes of myth and natural history.
